After this TikTok video of Faisal went viral on Twitter, the National Commission for Women (NCW) took cognizance of the matter and ordered TikTok India and Maharashtra Police to immediately take action against it. While talking to Tech News by Careers Ready, TikTok said that as the controversy escalated, this video was first deleted from the account by the creator i.e. Faisal Siddiqui on May 18. At the same time, TikTok also later banned both the video and the creator on the app.

TikTok said in a statement, “Keeping people safe on TikTok is our top priority. As a policy, we do not allow content that puts the safety of others at risk, promotes physical violence, or abuses women.” Promotes violence against others. This video violates our guidelines. We have removed the content, banned the account, and are working with law enforcement.
