RBI Grade B Educational Qualification

Minimum aggregate of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent grade in Bachelor's degree (General) along with grade 'B' in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th class examination 'It should happen. Complete details are mentioned in the table below.

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) (General) Minimum 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th Standard examinations. The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent rate for the Bachelor’s degree will be in aggregate for all semesters/years
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) DEPR Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) (DSIM) Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate of all semesters/years) OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed Institute OR M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks (aggregate of all semesters/years) OR Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

RBI Grade B Age Criteria

To be eligible for RBI Grade B the age of the candidate should be between 21 to 30 years.

RBI Grade B: Nationality

RBI Grade B 2024 Candidates should be –:

  • Citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • Candidates who are Tibetan refugees and came to India before 1 January 1962 to permanently settle in the country.
  • A candidate of Indian origin who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle in India.

RBI Grade B: Attempts

General category candidates can apply for the post of RBI Grade B Officers in a maximum of 6 attempts. If you attempt 6 times in the first stage examination, you are not eligible to apply for the post.
