Many cases related to online shopping fraud keep coming to light. Sometimes counterfeit goods and sometimes wrong items are delivered. One such case of fraud has again come to light where the shopping site Flipkart OnePlus 10R Smartphone was purchased but it Mobile turned out to be out of warranty! Now the person buying the phone is neither able to get the damaged device repaired nor is he able to get it replaced or refunded.
On the social media platform X (twitter), a person of Prashant Dixit has given information about this online scam by narrating his ordeal. This person has accused Flipkart that the company has sold him an old and used smartphone. Apart from committing fraud, the company has also hidden the fact that the phone which was delivered to the user had already been activated by someone else.
#FlipkartBigDiwaliSale @_Kalyan_K @BandBajaateRaho @consumr_rights Flipkart has sent this fake phone instead of the new phone whose warranty has expired. The phone was activated only in 2022
Victim Prashant Dixit has told that he had purchased OnePlus 10R from shopping site Flipkart in October. Received this phone on the 1st. But when Dixit switched on the phone, it did not turn on. The phone screen started flickering and the display was not visible. The user even tried restarting the phone but it did not turn on and the new mobile turned out to be faulty.
When the new mobile phone malfunctioned, the user decided to go to the service center and thought of getting it repaired from the company’s official store. But when Dixit reached the service center with his brand new OnePlus phone, he got another big shock. While checking the phone IMEI and serial number, the service center told the user that this mobile is out of warranty!
Prashant Dixit, while showing the phone bill and order details, said that he had recently purchased this mobile, so how could its warranty be voided. On this matter, it was informed by OnePlus Service Center that the smartphone which they have just purchased has already been activated on 24th May 2022.
After posting 52 consecutive posts in a month, #Flipkart Today I have received the refund of the duplicate phone. Friends, I have deleted its app and you should also do it, otherwise you can be mentally and financially unhappy. @BandBajaateRaho @ConsumerRightX @BandBajaateRaho @_Kalyan_K @Flipkart

Phone not replaced for 1 month
The person buying the goods online had by now realized that a major fraud had happened to him and only the e-commerce site Flipkart is responsible in this whole matter. Prashant Dixit’s social post shows that even after complaining, his phone was not replaced. After more than a month and continuously submitting his request on various forums, he got his money back on 6th November.
