Shakuntala Devi is an upcoming biopic film of Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, in which she is playing the role of the famous mathematician Shakuntala Devi, known as Human Computer. It was already confirmed that the film ‘Shakuntala Devi’ will be released on Amazon Prime Video, but there was no clarity regarding the release date. But now Vidya Balan herself has announced the release date of her upcoming film.

Shakuntala Devi is a film made under Sony Pictures Networks Productions, the story of which has been written by Anu Menon and the film has also been directed. Apart from Vidya Balan, the film also includes stars like Jisshu Sengupta as Shakuntala’s husband Paritosh Banerjee, Sanya Malhotra as Shakuntala’s daughter Anupama Banerjee, and Amit Sadh as Anupama’s husband Ajay.

Shakuntala Devi recognized her mathematical ability at the age of three. Shakuntala Devi’s father used to work in the circus, he used to teach his daughter the trick of playing cards in her childhood. Soon Shakuntala started beating her father in card games and that’s when her father came to know about his daughter’s ability. In 1944, he moved to London and Shakuntala Devi’s journey to success began from here.

Let us tell you, earlier the film Shakuntala Devi was scheduled to be released in May, but due to the Corona-virus epidemic, it will now be streamed directly on the streaming platform. ‘Shakuntala Devi’ will be the second Bollywood film to be released on Amazon Prime Video, before this Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan starrer film ‘Gulabo-Sitabo’ has been released on this platform. Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ will soon be released on another OTT platform Disney+Hotstar on July 24.
