Company co-founder Sumit Ghosh says that since the TikTok ban in India, the app has been receiving more than 10 lakh views every half hour.

According to the latest news, Chingari App has received 1.1 crore downloads on Google Play Sore. There has been a sudden increase in the download numbers of Chingari app, which is becoming an alternative to TikTok app in India. The company said that the app has achieved the milestone of 30 lakh downloads in just 10 days, not only this, 5 lakh people downloaded this app on their devices in 72 hours.

Well-known French security researcher Robert Baptiste recently claimed that the website of Globussoft, the company developing Chingari app, which is being called the Indian alternative to TikTok, has been compromised. He said all pages in the site contained a malware script that took users to pages on several different websites. However, Ghosh responded to this claim and said that this problem will be fixed soon.

Chingari App, a TikTok-like short video and audio app, has been created by two Bengaluru-based programmers named Bishwatma Nayak and Siddharth Gautam. This app will support 10 languages, which include English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. This app was first launched on Google Play Store in November 2018, although later in January 2019, it was also launched for iOS.
