Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey apologizes for massive layoffs in the company

Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former CEO of micro blogging site Twitter, has apologized to the staff working in it and those who were fired after Elon Musk took over the company. He said that he is to blame for the current situation and he knows that many people are angry with him.

Dorsey said that growing the company too fast was a mistake. he tweeted Said, “The people who have worked before and currently work at Twitter are strong. No matter how difficult the situation is, they will find a way. I know a lot of people are angry with me. I take responsibility for this situation. I “I increased the size too quickly. I apologize for that.” He expressed his gratitude to everyone who has ever worked for Twitter. Dorsey was one of the four co-founders of Twitter. He resigned as CEO about a year ago. Dorsey has started a social media business called Bluesky. It is a new type of decentralized network that claims to give more power to users and developers.

Elon Musk, chief of American electric car maker Tesla, has initiated major changes in the company after purchasing Twitter for about $44 billion. He has laid off a large number of staff in the company. Twitter has released an update to its iOS app which also introduces a new Twitter Blue subscription with some changes. Musk has been promoting this subscription through his tweets. Twitter Blue subscribers will automatically get a blue checkmark on their profile, which was previously only given to verified accounts of corporates, celebrities and public figures.

For Blue Tick, Twitter users will have to pay $7.99 per month instead of $4.99 in the US. Musk has indicated that it will be increased according to the purchasing power of people in other countries. Soon after taking over the company, Musk ousted Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal, CFO Ned Segal, General Counsel Sean Edgett and Legal Policy, Trust and Security Head Vijaya Gadde.
