The Class Royale game developed by Supercell is a hugely popular game around the world and can be played live by two or four players (as 1v1 or 2v2). The tournament will be conducted as an online, single-elimination format and will feature all the best Clash Royale players from India. This will be India’s largest eSports tournament in terms of both participation and prize money.
Sudhanshu Gupta, COO, Paytm First Games, said (translated) “With Clash Royale, we are entering the e-sports league and bringing the best of global mobile gaming to Indian fans. We believe that it will work well as a stress buster during the lockdown period and will keep gaming enthusiasts connected. To increase the excitement around the tournament and make it more popular, we will be showing the final rounds live on YouTube and Paytm Inbox.”
Paytm claims that Paytm First Games is already India’s fastest growing gaming destination and the platform is visited by half a million or more than 5 lakh active gamers every day. It has seen a 200 percent growth in the last one month, with more than 75,000 new players joining the platform every day.
