WhatsApp has released a new update for its iPhone client, which adds a convenient content sharing feature to the app. The new v2.20.40 build of the instant messaging app now shows WhatsApp contact suggestions directly in the Share Sheet menu. This small but very useful feature will now give users the option to easily tap on any name in the list and send it. iOS users can now easily share content with their WhatsApp contacts in just two steps. The update has been rolled out via stable channel and the new WhatsApp version is now available for iPhone users around the world including India.

Earlier the iPhone share sheet contained only the WhatsApp icon. Earlier, one had to tap this icon to select a contact from within the app and share the content, but now after the latest WhatsApp update, users’ WhatsApp contacts will appear in a row at the top of the share sheet. Now you just have to tap on the WhatsApp contact and you will get the send option.

For example, if you’re sharing a photo, simply tap on a WhatsApp contact. This will immediately open a native share window of that contact on your iPhone, where you can tap the Send button to send the photo.
