Arogya Setu app becomes mandatory for these people

The government has once again extended the ongoing lockdown to curb the COVID-19 pandemic by two weeks. The ongoing lockdown was initially scheduled to be lifted on May 3, but an announcement was made on Friday and it has been extended by two weeks. Also, the government has now made it mandatory for all public and private sector employees to use the Aarogya Setu app. Apart from this, this app has also been made mandatory for people living in Covid-19 containment zones. The government has asked officials to ensure that everyone in these zones installs this app. The Aarogya Setu app was introduced by the government in early April and within a few days of its launch, the app has been downloaded crores of times.

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in its instructions Said, (Translated) “Use of Aarogya Setu app will be made mandatory for all employees in both private and public sectors. It will be the responsibility of the heads of the respective organizations to ensure 100 percent coverage of this app among their employees.”

The government on Wednesday made the use of the app mandatory for all central government employees.

MHA also said in the guidelines Said That is, private offices in the Red Zone (except the Containment Zone) can function with 33 percent staff. The remaining employees will have to work from home. Apart from this, offices are allowed to open with 100 percent employees in Orange and Green zones. The remaining 33 percent employees along with all senior officials can work in government offices in the Red Zone.
