However, now the government online website is available for passport. But today we will tell you how you can know Passport Seva Kendra, District Passport Cell, Fee Calculator and status of your passport from your smartphone itself.

Today we will talk about mPassport service. A mobile app through which you can know every information related to passport in a few clicks. This app of the Ministry of External Affairs Android, available for iOS and Windows Phone. The mPassport Seva mobile app is an extension of the Passport Seva Project, initiated as a public-private partnership between the Ministry of External Affairs and Tata Consultancy Services. Both domestic and foreign citizens can avail this facility.

locate center
The first option in the app is Locate Center. You can find out where the Passport Seva Kendra is in your area by going to this section. You can know the address of the passport center by entering the name or pincode of your city. Apart from this, options like District Passport Cell, Police Station, Mission/Post Abroad and Passport Office are also available in this tab. Click on any of these things about which you want to get information and enter the PIN code.

fee calculator
What will be the fee for normal passport? If it is to be made for a period of five years or more than five years, then what is the fee? The answer to these questions is the Fee Calculator tab of the mPassport app. You will get all the information about fees for new passport, re-issue, age of the applicant or fees for Tatkal and Ordinary passport in this section. There is a need to enter only basic information.

status tracker
By going to this section you can know the status of your passport application. Click on the application status and enter your file number and date of birth and your status will be known. Apart from this, if you have asked for any information through RTI, then the status tracker will also tell the status of that.

Document Advisor
What documents will be required to be submitted for ordinary passport and Tatkal passport? What documents are to be submitted for adult and minor citizens? After being redirected to the web browser by clicking on the document advisor, you can get information about all these as per your need.

Appointment Availability
This appointment availability feature of mPassport app will now save you from repeatedly visiting the Passport Seva Kendra for getting an appointment. You can check availability by entering the name of the passport office and the secure code.
