OnePlus 12 was introduced in China some time ago. The company has launched this new flagship phone as an upgrade to OnePlus 11 which was launched in India in February this year. However, OnePlus 12 can be launched in the Indian market in January 2024. But, there is no definite information about this yet. At the same time, today in this article we will compare the specifications of both the phones and try to know how much difference there is between the two.

OnePlus 12 vs OnePlus 11: Price and color

In China, the price of 12GB + 256GB storage of OnePlus 12 is CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs 50,600), the price of 16GB + 512GB storage variant is CNY 4,799 (approximately Rs 56,500). At the same time, the price of 16GB + 1TB storage and 24GB + 1TB storage has been kept at CNY 5,299 (approximately Rs 62,400) and CNY 5,799 (approximately Rs 68,200) respectively. Apart from this, the Indian prices of all the variants will be revealed after their launch in India.

On the other hand, the price of 12GB + 256GB variant of OnePlus 11 is CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 48,000), 16GB + 256GB is priced at CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs 52,900) and the price of 16GB + 512GB model is CNY 4,899 (approximately Rs 59,000). At the same time, in India, the 8GB + 128GB model of the phone was launched for Rs 56,999 and the 16GB + 256GB variant was launched for Rs 61,999.

OnePlus 12 was launched in three color options – Green, Black and White. In comparison, OnePlus 11 comes in Titan Black and Eternal Green color options.

OnePlus 12 vs OnePlus 11: Display and design

The OnePlus 12 features a 6.82-inch QHD+ 2K OLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, which is said to be the highest brightness ever seen on a phone. The OnePlus 11, on the other hand, features a 6.7-inch QHD+ E4 2.75D flexible curved OLED LTPO 3.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits peak brightness.

The design of OnePlus 12 is still similar to OnePlus 11. Notably, the alert slider has been shifted from right to left compared to the OnePlus 11.

OnePlus 12 vs OnePlus 11: Performance

The OnePlus 12 is equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the OnePlus 11 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is 30 percent faster than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The OnePlus 12 camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera with OIS feature, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP OV64B periscope lens with 3x telephoto zoom. In comparison, the OnePlus 11 5G has a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32MP Sony IMX709 RGBW 2x telephoto camera.

The selfie camera in OnePlus 12 has been enhanced compared to OnePlus 11. Whereas, OnePlus 11 had a 16MP front camera for selfies and video chat and OnePlus 12 has its 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera.

OnePlus 12 has a 5,400mAh battery with support for 50W wireless fast charging and 100W wired charging. Notably, this is the first instance of OnePlus including wireless charging in its flagship lineup.

In contrast, the OnePlus 11 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging, which is capable of charging the device from 1 to 100 percent in just 25 minutes. One major upgrade the OnePlus 12 brings is the 50W wireless charging support that was missing from older phones.

OnePlus 12 vs OnePlus 11: IP Rating

The OnePlus 12 gets an IP65 rating and the OnePlus 11 comes with an IP64 rating. Both phone ratings offer protection from dust and solid particles. However, the IP65 rating provides a higher level of liquid resistance than IP64. While IP64 protects against splashes of water from any direction, IP65 provides protection against jets of water projected by the nozzle.
