After upgrading to 4G SIM, customers can enjoy this data on BSNL’s high-speed network if it is available in their area. BSNL said customers can visit their nearest BSNL customer service centre, franchise, retailer or DSA to upgrade to 4G SIM.

BSNL app users can send an SMS to 54040 with the message ‘SIM’ to check their SIM card. If customers receive a message indicating 3G, BSNL said they can upgrade their SIM to 4G for free.
