Ahead of the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have announced that they have increased network connectivity in the city. This will help the telecom network infrastructure to cover all important locations including airports, railway stations, bus stands, major historical areas, hotels and all other important places in the city.

Airtel
- Airtel has deployed additional network sites, installed cells on wheels and laid optic fiber cables across the city to further enhance voice and data services.
- Some additional sites and BTS have also been established to cover the temple and its surrounding areas.
- Airtel fiber has also been laid in the city to cover areas requiring high-speed data.
- Airtel has also deployed CoW (Cell on Wheels) at Ayodhya Dham, Ayodhya Cantt, Airport, Katra Railway Station, Bus Stand, Ramprastha Park, Ram Bhadra, Brahmakund, Guptar Ghat, Parikrama Marg, Highway.
- The telecom network says it has hired additional manpower, including network engineers, to ensure uninterrupted service across Ayodhya to meet the surge.
Vi
- On the other hand, Vi has contacted the Department of Telecommunications, Government and local authorities (Ayodhya Development Authority, Public Works Department,
- Airport Authority, Police) and upgraded the existing sites in all major areas.
- DoT and other departments ensured quick clearance in providing space for towers, movement of material and manpower.
- Vi has improved network coverage by expanding the network across all spectrum bands, increasing capacity and enhancing backhaul connectivity.
- Vi has served Ayodhya railway station, Ram temple complex, airport, railway station and those connecting Lucknow and Varanasi.
- Added new sites on highways and repurposed L2100 spectrum capacity.
- The telecom network says it has worked closely with local authorities to ensure seamless integration of network enhancements with the overall event infrastructure.
