SSC CPO Salary 2024: Basic Allowances Offered

The allowances and perks in SSC CPO vary according to the post. SSC is a reputed government organization which offers an attractive package to the candidates. Here is the list of allowances added to the basic salary while working as an SSC CPO employee:

House Rent Allowance (HRA)

House rent allowance will depend on the class of the city in which you are living. HRA is Rs. 5400/- per month in X, Y & Z class cities respectively. Rs, Rs 3600/- And Rs 1800/- Will not be less than.

  • @24% of basic pay for X class cities
  • @16% of basic pay for Y class cities
  • @8% of basic pay for Z class cities

Dearness Allowance (DA)

Dearness Allowance is the Cost of Living Adjustment Allowance and Currently it is 12% of the basic pay under the 7th Pay Commission.

Dietary allowance or ration money is provided to CPO employees to meet their dietary needs. Rs 101.5 Diet allowance of Rs is provided to SI in Delhi Police. Rs 97.85 per person per day for SI in CISF. Ration money is acceptable.

Children Education Allowance/Hostel Subsidy

  • CEA for children from class Nursery to 12th @ Rs.2250/- per month (Total Rs.27000/- per year). Whenever DA increases by 50%, CEA will increase by 25%.
  • Hostel Subsidy for children studying in hostel @ Rs. 6750/- per month (Total Rs. 18000/- per year). Whenever DA increases by 50%, CEA will increase by 25%.
