Statue of Unity: Construction of the Statue of Unity
The “Statue of Unity” is located in the Gujarat state of India and is the tallest statue in the world, dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a devotee of Lord Shri Ram and a great fighter of the Indian freedom struggle. Its construction started in the year 2013 and this memorial was unveiled on 31 October 2018 on the occasion of the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. This statue is in the framework of Lataaj Zindagi and lakhs of people contributed for its construction.
