SSC CGL Salary 2023: Other allowances and benefits provided for various post employees
House Rent Allowance (HRA)
HRA is given to the employees to meet their house rental needs. House rent allowance varies according to the city and is divided into 3 categories. HRA shall not be less than Rs. 5400/- per month, Rs. 3600/- per month and 1800/- per month in X, Y and Z category cities respectively.

Dearness Allowance (DA)
Dearness Allowance is the cost of living adjustment allowance and is currently 42% of the basic pay under the 7th Pay Commission. The Union Cabinet has increased DA to 34% from January 1, 2022 for all employees working for the Central Government.
Transport Allowance (TA)
The rate of transport allowance per month varies depending on where you are staying, as explained below:
- Employees posted in cities: Rs 3600
- Employees posted at all other places: Rs 1800
