T20 World Cup 2022 Winner: England
In Australia’s hosting of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2022, England defeated Pakistan by five wickets. This time the famous T20 World Cup 2022 trophy is in the hands of three lions. Back in 2020, ICC announced that there would be back-to-back T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022. Australia won the T20 World Cup in 2021, which was held in the United Arab Emirates. Due to the effects of the global pandemic, the ICC announced that the official host of the 2021 T20 World Cup will instead host the competition in 2022. In the end, Australia successfully hosted the T20 World Cup in 2022, but they were unable to successfully defend themselves. The T20 World Cup trophy will also be returned to England.
T20 World Cup 2021 Winner: Australia
The final match of T20 World Cup 2021 was played between Australia and New Zealand. Team Australia won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 by defeating New Zealand by 8 wickets. Australia’s Mitchell Marsh became the player of the match in the final match of T20 World Cup 2021. T20 World Cup 2014 Winner: Sri Lanka
The final match of T20 World Cup 2014 was played between Sri Lanka and India. In the final match, Sri Lanka defeated India by 6 wickets. Virat Kohli of the Indian team became the highest run scorer and player of the series in the ICC T20 World Cup 2014 series.
T20 World Cup 2012 Winner: West Indies
West Indies won its first T20 World Cup in 2012 by defeating Sri Lanka in the final match. West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by 36 runs in the final. At the T20 World Cup in 2012, Australia’s Shane Watson was named the player of the series as well as the leading run-scorer, while Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis was named the leading wicket-taker.
T20 World Cup 2010 Winner: England
England cricket team won the T20 World Cup 2010 by defeating Australia in the final. England defeated Australia by 7 wickets in the final. The England team lost its first game to the West Indies team, but they won all their consecutive games and also won the World Cup title. England’s Kevin Pietersen was named Player of the Series in the 2010 T20 World Cup.

In 2009, Pakistan won its first T20 World Cup. In the final, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets. Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan was the player of the series and the leading run-scorer of the tournament.
T20 World Cup 2007 Winner: India
India was the first team to win the T20 World Cup under the leadership of MS Dhoni. India won the first T20 World Cup in 2007 by defeating Pakistan in the final match. India lost only one game during the tournament against New Zealand in the Super 8. Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi was chosen Player of the Series in this tournament.
