IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2023 For Prelims
The first stage of IBPS PO 2023 exam consists of three major sections- Reasoning, English and Quant, Students will be given a total of 60 minutes in which there will be a time limit of 20 minutes to solve each section.
- IBPS PO Prelims consists of three sections and its total duration is 1 hour.
- IBPS PO Prelims exam will consist of a total of 100 multiple choice questions.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- To qualify, candidates must meet the minimum cut-off marks set by IBPS in all tests.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2023 For Mains
Candidates who clear IBPS PO Prelims will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam, which is the second stage of the IBPS PO 2023 selection process. To be selected for the last round of final selection i.e. interview stage, one has to pass objective as well as descriptive test. - IBPS PO Mains exam consists of four sections, and an additional section for English language, which will be conducted separately on the same exam date.
- Overall, the IBPS PO Mains exam will consist of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) with a duration of 3 hours.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Each section will have a specified time limit, similar to the IBPS PO Prelims Exam.
- To be successful in IBPS PO Main Examination, candidates have to qualify each test/section individually.
Introduction of Descriptive Test: 25 Marks
In IBPS PO Main Examination, IBPS has introduced a descriptive examination of 25 marks. In this examination, candidates have to write an essay and a letter of 25 marks. The English Language paper is designed to evaluate the writing skills of the candidates, and it is necessary to qualify this paper by scoring the minimum cut-off marks.

IBPS PO Interview
This is the last stage of the recruitment process in which your educational background, banking awareness or knowledge of current affairs is tested. The candidate should be aware of the recent events happening around the world. Confidence and good communication skills can help you succeed in this stage.
The interview is of 100 marks, and a minimum of 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) is required to qualify for this stage. The final result is determined by the marks obtained in both interview and main examination with weightage ratio of 20:80 respectively.
