IB Security Assistant Syllabus for Tier 2

Candidates who qualify Tier-1 exam will have to appear in Tier-2 exam. Tier-2 exam is divided into 2 parts.

  • Part 1 (Common for all candidates) – This will include translation of a passage of 500 words from the local language/dialect into English and vice versa. It will be an offline descriptive test and will carry 40 marks and the duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
  • Part 2 (Only for SA/Exe)- Speaking Ability. It will be assessed at the time of Tier-III examination (Interview/Personality Test).

Tier-II examination is qualifying in nature. The qualifying mark in Tier 2 for SA/Exe is 20 out of 50.

IB Security Assistant Tier 3 (Interview)

Candidates who qualify the Tier 1 and Tier 2 examination will have to go through the interview round, which will be conducted by the Intelligence Bureau. This will be for 50 marks. This will be the final stage of the selection process and the candidates who qualify this stage will be selected on the basis of marks obtained.
