Amendment regarding MTS age limit
The latest notice of SSC on the official website was released on 01 September 2023. All the candidates who have applied for Multi Tasking (Non-Technical), Staff (MTS), and Havildar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2023. You are informed that the following amendments have been made in the age limit and tie rule for Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havildar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2023.
- The age limit for MTS post is 18-25 years, and for Havildar post the age limit is 18-27 years.
- If more than one candidate obtains the same total marks in Session II, the tie will be broken by considering the following order:
- Marks in General Awareness of Session II
- Total Normalized Marks in Session-I
- Date of Birth (Older candidate will get preference)

SSC MTS 2024 Eligibility
Eligibility criteria generally include educational qualification, age limit and nationality requirements. Check below complete eligibility for SSC MTS 2024 exam.
SSC MTS Nationality/Citizenship:
(b) a citizen of Nepal, or
(c) a citizen of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came to India to settle permanently before 1st January, 1962, or
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Note I: Candidates should note that the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination certificate or equivalent certificate available on the date of application submission will only be accepted by the Commission for determining age-eligibility and no subsequent request for the same will be entertained. . Changes will be considered or permitted.
SSC MTS Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- If a candidate does not qualify the qualifying examination before the last date of receipt of application form, he/she is not allowed to apply.
SSC MTS Age Limit
- Candidate age should be 18-25 years (for MTS and Havildar in CBN).
- Candidate age should be 18-27 years (for some posts of Havildar and MTS in CBIC)
- The important date for calculating the age limit is 01 August 2023.
- Apart from the pre-mentioned age requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per government rules.
For SSC MTS Havildar
- For MTS and Havildar in CBN (Revenue Department) the age of the candidate should be 18-25 years.
- For some posts of Havildar and MTS in CBIC (Revenue Department), the age of the candidate should be 18-27 years.

SSC MTS 2024 Apply Online

SSC MTS 2024 Application Fee
- The application fee for SSC MTS 2024 is Rs 100/-.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/Women category are exempted from paying the application fee.

SSC MTS 2024 Selection Process
This year SSC has made changes in the SSC MTS selection process. As per the revised selection process, candidates will be selected only on the basis of Paper 1, followed by PET/PST and document verification.

SSC MTS 2024 Exam Pattern
SSC MTS exam pattern will consist of computer based examination followed by document verification. SSC has changed the SSC MTS exam pattern and as per the latest notification, there will be only one paper.
SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2024 Paper 1
- SSC MTS Exam Paper 1 will be conducted in September 2024. The computer-based examination will be conducted in two sessions: Session-I and Session-II and it will be mandatory to appear in both the sessions. Failure to attempt any session will result in the candidate being disqualified.
- There will be no negative marking in Session-I. In Session II, there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.
