One on social media platform Facebook Post Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp is rolling out the ‘Call Link’ feature. It gives users the option to create a link and instantly share it with friends and family on the messaging app. You can join the call with just one tap by clicking on the link. This will be much the same as how links to Google Meet or Microsoft Teams work.
However, the company has not clearly stated which platforms will support this feature. However, it is expected that this feature will be available on Android and iOS. To create a call link, users have to tap on the ‘Create call links’ option under the call tab. A link can then be created for an audio or video call. It can be shared with family and friends. Users need to keep in mind that they should have the latest version of the app. This feature will start rolling out this week.
WhatsApp has also said that it has started testing group video calls on WhatsApp for a maximum of 32 people. Details related to the feature will be shared soon. The thing to note is that the feature of adding 32 people to a group voice call is already available on WhatsApp. It is available on both Android and iOS. Now preparations are being made to bring maximum 32 people on group video call.
