Other food delivery providers charge a hefty commission of 20 to 30% from restaurants for online food delivery. This is the reason why many times restaurants keep inflated prices on these platforms as opposed to the original price in their menu and ultimately it becomes expensive for you to order food from here.

ONDC is an online business platform developed with the support of the government. The aim of the government through this platform is to help the small businessmen of the country. On this platform, you get food directly from the restaurants, for which these restaurants do not have to pay huge commission. Recently the ONDC platform received more than 10,000 orders in a day. ONDC’s network is spread in 240 cities of the country.

How to use ONDC

It has a total of 46 network partners including Paytm and PhonePe. It is believed that 450 more partners can join it in the coming days. You can order groceries, beauty products, food at cheap rates through ONDC. For this you will have to use UPI platform Paytm. On Paytm, you have to go to the search option and type ONDC. After which you will see 3 types of options on the screen, which include ONDC Store, ONDC Food and Grocery. If you want to order food, select the ONDC Food option. However, keep in mind that there are only a few big restaurants and stores available here.
