In the Truecaller update, you will get a full-screen caller ID interface, in addition to the existing pop-up caller ID function, which will be available to you as an opt-in feature. With the update, new features have started rolling out for Android users in India. The company is also planning to roll out these features for iOS and global users, which may be released in the coming days.
The main change that Truecaller users will get in this update will be the ‘new interface’, which has brought smart SMS feature. Through this feature, the messages in the device will automatically be divided into four different groups. These groups will be Personal, Important, Others, and Spam. The new addition to this list is Important, which will include your financial and payment related messages.
Truecaller has said in its press release that this new tab will help users keep track of important bills, payments and budget related tasks. The new tab also lists payment messages from other services. Apart from this, we are also planning to include travel reminders like flight delay, bus seat allocation, live tracking, tax updates and medical appointments etc.
A Truecaller spokesperson told Tech News by Careers Ready that Truecaller has more than 150 million active users in India, half of which use Truecaller as their default dialer. It has 60 percent premium subscribers in India. Which is approximately 7,20,000 subscribers out of 12 lakh premium subscribers globally.
Fresh interface
Truecaller has also added Home tab in it, in which you will see all your calls and messages in a list. However, in the earlier interface you used to get separate tabs for calls, messages, UPI and premium. However, apart from the Home tab, you will definitely find Contacts, Premium and Payment tabs. Truecaller has added a fullscreen caller ID interface, in which the person you call will be visible to you in full-screen.
