Google Maps was easily fooled by a person with his cleverness. If a video seen on YouTube is to be believed, then a Berlin-based artist tricked Google Maps in such a way that Google Maps showed traffic jams even on an empty road. Let us tell you that Google Maps not only shows maps of places around the world, but also tells the traffic conditions on the roads. Even in many of its advertisements the company advises people to use Google Maps for live traffic information. But what you probably don’t know is that Google Maps’ system is not completely accurate and can be rigged. Yes, a person from Berlin has done this. This person, who is being described as an artist, created a fake traffic jam on the streets of Berlin by carrying 99 smartphones together.

Berlin-based Simon Weckert posted the video of the feat (see below) on his YouTube account. The video shows him placing 99 smartphones in a small cart and driving around in front of Google’s office and through some streets of Berlin. 99 smartphones kept in his hand cart moving simultaneously in slow motion Google Maps It showed a traffic jam on that route, even though the route was completely empty.

Let us tell you that Google Maps evaluates the data of users’ smartphones kept inside the vehicles moving on the route and displays the traffic situation on the route accordingly. These data include the speed of the vehicle and the number of smartphones on that route etc.

If a large number of smartphones on a road cause slow traffic, Google displays slow traffic in that area. If the number of smartphones is very high and the speed of vehicles is very low, then the traffic jam in that area is shown in the map. Google displays traffic conditions through colors. If the traffic is clear then a green line is visible and in case of slow speed an orange line is visible and if there is a traffic jam then a dark red (maroon) line is visible.

Weckert’s video shows that initially the color of the road appeared green and when he drove slowly on that road with the 99 smartphone, the color on the map changed from green to dark red. Although Weckert did not share much information about this trick. In such a situation, this video cannot be considered completely reliable. But if this video is true then Google should pay attention to it and make the system accurate.
