This is how Randeep Hooda prepared for Netflix’s action-thriller Extraction

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has made his Netflix debut with ‘Extraction’. In this film, Chris Hemsworth is in the lead role along with Randeep Hooda, who half the world knows as ‘Thor’. Not only Randeep Hooda but Pankaj Tripathi is also in an important role in this film. This explosive action film of Netflix with a stellar star cast has been released today i.e. on 24th April. Randeep Hooda is previously known for his role in ‘Highway’, in which he played the role of a kidnapper. Apart from this, he also did the biopic of ‘Sarabjit Singh’, in which he played Sabarjit who accidentally crossed the Indian border and reached Pakistan and was imprisoned by Pakistan for two decades on the charges of espionage. After all these roles, seeing her in action with Chris Hemsworth in ‘Extraction’ is definitely no less than a treat for her fans.

Randeep Hooda’s character in Extraction is full of action. While his character in ‘Highway’ was that of a kidnapper, in this film too his character revolves around kidnapping. But in this film he does not kidnap anyone but is seen solving the kidnapping case. The name of Hooda’s character in the film is Saju Rao, who is a part of the Army Special Force. He is given the responsibility of finding the kidnapped son of India’s biggest drug mafia (Pankaj Tripathi). Randeep Hooda’s character in this Netflix film is full of action, but when he was auditioning for this film, he was not told the whole truth.

In a phone interview with Tech News by Careers Ready, Randeep Hooda told how he was called to Ahmedabad three weeks before the shooting, when he did not know what kind of action training he was going to be given.

When Randeep Hooda met the film’s director Sam Hargrave, he understood what was going to be done to him. Let us tell you, Sam has been a stunt coordinator in many Marvel Cinematic Universe chapters. The story of Extraction revolves around people who try to save the kidnapped child of an Indian drug dealer (Pankaj Tripathi).

Randeep told about his training and how he was trained for the action of extraction. The director gave him an action class and taught him how to hold his body, where to keep his weight, where to bend his knees, where to jump etc. In three weeks he was exposed to every detail of the action. Both the actors were trained with weapons after memorizing the action sequences. Hooda told that it took the entire team of the film 4 months to prepare the 12-minute action scene of this film.

Hooda told that he has done action scenes for Bollywood before, but this was his first international experience which was quite wonderful.

While sharing his experience, Hooda also mentioned the precautions taken. Hooda told that before filming the action scene, security is also taken care of closely.
