Picture-in-picture support also comes for Jio TV app

Reliance Jio has released the updated version of Jio TV Android app. With the new version, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) support has now been added to the Jio TV app. Picture-in-picture support is in great demand in media apps because with the help of this feature users can easily watch the content in between any task.

It is worth noting that the picture-in-picture feature in Reliance Jio’s Jio TV app will work only if your smartphone is on Android 8.0 Oreo or above. The updated Jio TV app can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

on the official changelog wrote Picture-in-picture feature has been introduced to improve the viewing experience of the user. Now you will be able to enjoy Jio TV even while chatting, browsing or doing other work. Google introduced picture-in-picture mode in Android 8.0 Oreo.

This is a multi-window mode that allows users to watch videos in small windows while performing any task on the device. Apart from this, there is no mention of any other feature in the official Jio TV Android version changelog.

Recall that Jio TV is a live TV application. Jio TV app provides content in multiple languages. Jio TV can be accessed only by Jio users and it works on Android and iOS devices. The company has promised that support will be provided for desktop computers as well.
