According to the data of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) released by National Payments Corporation of India (NIII), in the month of January, users had significantly reduced the number of payments through WhatsApp. However, on the contrary, PhonePe has topped this category. According to the NPCI report, in the race of UPI apps, PhonePe app has achieved 41.21 percent share in the total market share, in which the terms of transactional volume of all the apps is Rs 2.35074 billion. The Walmart-owned app’s strong position has made it difficult for Google Pay to topple it, which is still in second place.

Paytm Payments Bank is once again at the third position in this list, in which 281.18 million transactions were done in January which was worth Rs 33,909.50 crore. Talking about Amazon Pay, there were 46.30 million transactions worth Rs 4,044.38 crore.
