This app is based on the company’s own Opera News, which was introduced about two years ago. This new app provides fast browsing experience by using less resources. Apart from this, popular features of the old app are also available in the app.

Features like personalized news articles, exclusive original content and notifications of breaking news have been retained in Opera News Lite. You can download the Opera News Lite app from Google Play Store, whose size is 1 MB, whereas the size of the old Opera News app is 11 MB.

According to the company, this app will run faster in select countries. Because the company’s local data centers are around these areas. It has been reported that connection latency has reduced due to the local data center. Because of this, it is possible to navigate up to four times faster on the Opera News Lite app.
