Now talk to Amazon Alexa in Hindi and Hinglish

Nearly two years after Amazon introduced the Alexa voice assistant in India, the company has now added support for Hindi and Hinglish languages. Amazon Echo users can set Hindi as their default language from today. Amazon says that Alexa will now be able to understand everything spoken by users in Hindi or Hinglish.

To talk to Alexa in Hindi language, users will have to give the command “Alexa, help me set up Hindi”. Existing Echo users in India can go to the device settings of the Alexa app and select Hindi language in the language option. Alexa can now respond to commands like ‘Play latest Bollywood songs’, ‘Play cricket score’, ‘Play lion’s voice’ or ‘Alexa, tell us about yourself’. Understanding Could.
