Many new features including video story added to Tinder, you will get a new dating experience

New features like Videos, Explore section and Hot Takes section have been added to Tinder profile. According to the dating platform, these new Tinder features “lay the foundation for a deeper, richer platform for the next generation of Tinder.” The dating platform will allow users to add videos to their profiles. Additionally, Tinder is also adding Hot Texts, a social experience that allows users to chat with someone before matching with them. Lastly this dating app is also adding an Explore section which will help users find people based on shared interests.

Tinder CEO Jim Lanzon on new features Comment “A new generation of daters is demanding more from us in the post-Covid world. They are demanding more ways to show their authentic personality, more ways to have fun and interact with others. But they want more control over who they meet and how they communicate.”

Tinder will now let users add a video to their profile in addition to the photos that users could already upload. According to the company, “The video will be a new way for Gen Z to tell their authentic stories and showcase Tinder’s evolution into a multi-dimensional experience that shows what dating looks like in 2021.” Tinder says Gen Z makes up more than 50 percent of its user base.

Apart from this, Tinder will now let users chat with each other before matching on the dating platform with its new Hot Text feature. The new feature will also have a timer and users will have to make their decision before it ends. Hot Takes will be available daily from 6pm to 12am (midnight). The feature is based on Swipe Night which was first held on September 12. Where users participated in a shared storyline.

Tinder is also adding a new Explore section that will help users find new people based on shared interests and passions. For example, if users are interested in roller skating or baking, they will be able to find people interested in roller skating or baking, respectively. Tinder also announced that its Hot Takes and other in-app events will be lumped together in the Explore section in the coming weeks. Apart from Explore, other new features have also been rolled out for the users.
