Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has launched a chatbot facility on WhatsApp, through which users can get many important information about their LIC policy right from the instant messaging app. This will be a 24×7 service for policyholders, which means you can get information about your policy at any time. In this service, users get many information including loan eligibility, repayment quotation, policy status, bonus information, ULIP statements of units, links to all LIC services, premium due date updates, loan interest due date notification and certificate of premium paid. A list of other options will be available.

To use the service, policyholders must first register on the LIC India website and then send the message “Hi” to +91-8976862090 from their registered mobile number on WhatsApp to access the chatbot and opt for services.

LIC says the service has been designed to be fast, secure and convenient, allowing policyholders to access information at the click of a button.
