By starting the testing of its services, Reliance’s JioMart has now prepared to give a strong challenge to Amazon and Walmart’s Flipkart. On the other hand, Facebook hopes that the partnership with JioMart will make WhatsApp the primary way for stores to connect with customers.
Customers interested in availing JioMart’s services will have to store JioMart’s WhatsApp number 8850008000 in their phone’s contacts. Here customers get a link by JioMart to order. Once an order is placed, the company shares it with a grocery store on WhatsApp.
According to JioMartLite’s website, customers are then given a notification of the order along with detailed details of the store.
At present there has been no official statement from Reliance on this. Reliance Retail had introduced JioMart in January this year on a pilot testing basis in Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan areas of Maharashtra.
Reliance Industries says that thanks to the new partnership between Reliance Jio Platforms, Reliance Retail and WhatsApp, customers will soon be able to transact at JioMart using WhatsApp to get “easy access to their nearest kirana stores” and order products to their homes. Will be able to get more services.
