JioFiber set-top box gets Amazon Prime Video support

JioFiber set top box has finally added Amazon Prime Video support to its OTT apps offering list. When Jio Fiber was launched last year, it did not have Amazon Prime Video support. Since then, its demand had increased a lot, so now the company has finally introduced its support. Now you will see this video on demand app included in the OTT apps list of Jio Fiber. It is not that you will get Amazon Prine Video support for free with Jio Fiber. To enjoy Amazon Prime Video, you will have to buy its subscription.

Amazon Prime Video provides original content, such as Four More Shots, Panchayat, Mirzapur, and many films like Joker, Thappad are also available to watch on it. OnlyTech was the first to report about Amazon Prime Video support on JioFiber. However, Tech News by Careers Ready privately confirmed this. Let us tell you, when JioFiber was launched, very few OTT apps were available on it, but since then till now it has been continuously adding support of different apps for the users on its platform. At present, in the OTT list of JioFiber, you will get apps like SunNXT, Disney + Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLiv, Voot, Jio Cinema, ALT Balaji.

However, Netflix support has not been added to it yet. It is expected that Jio will also add it to its platform in future. This Android TV-based set-top box works on Android 9 and comes pre-installed with Jio’s own apps like Jio Cinema and Saavn. It also comes with a remote, which has voice control support. Apart from this, live TV channels can also be watched, for this one will have to use TV Plus App through web.

To fight the Corona virus epidemic, Jio had recently made an important announcement regarding Jio Fiber broadband, in which Reliance Jio will provide basic JioFiber broadband connectivity without any service charge. The company will provide a free connection of 10Mbps speed without any charges to its customers for basic JioFiber broadband connectivity. There will be no charge for accessing the internet, except the subscriber will have to pay for the router. However, even on this the company said that they will provide this router at least on refundable deposit. Apart from this, double data is being provided to existing JioFiber customers in all plans.
