Recall that after the introduction of new privacy settings for WhatsApp Group Invite, users will now be able to decide who can add them to the group. If you select the Nobody option, it means that if the group administrator wants to make any user a part of the WhatsApp group, then they will have to send an invitation first. After this the user will decide whether to approve the invitation or not. The second option is My Contacts. Users in the user’s contact list will be able to make you a part of the group. The third option is ‘Everyone’. In this, any WhatsApp user can make you a part of the group.

If you have selected the Nobody option, then in such a situation the administrator who wants to invite you to the group will send a private invite through individual chat. The private invite will expire three days after receiving the message.
