Many loan apps in the name of giving loans have troubled thousands of people over the years. The stories of people who fall into the clutches of loan apps often come to the fore in news reports. Google has taken strict action against such apps. Google has said that in the year 2022, it took action against more than 3500 loan apps in India, which were violating the Play Store policy. According to Google, it has removed such apps from Play Store.

According to the report of news agency PTI, Google has said that it has removed more than 14.3 lakh apps including loan apps from the Play Store. These apps were not following the rules. The company has said that it has also banned 1.73 lakh bad accounts.

In a statement, Google said that in the year 2022, we reviewed 3500 such apps in India, which were violating the rules in the name of giving personal loans. We took strict action against them and removed them from the Play Store. Google said that all the apps were violating Play Store rules. Google says that its effort is to keep updating its policies and improve the review process.

The company also said that in the year 2023, it will adopt a more privacy-friendly approach to ads. Google is preparing to introduce a technology, which it calls Privacy Sandbox. In this technology, the privacy of users remains safe on online platforms. Google said that Privacy Sandbox will initially be rolled out as beta on some Android devices. Privacy Sandbox mainly helps companies and developers and helps them in building digital businesses.

It is noteworthy that the scope of loan apps has increased rapidly in the last few years in India. Many loan apps cheat their customers in the name of giving loans. There have been cases of harassment of customers, in which money is extorted from the customers as well as their family members. Google’s action should be expected to reduce such cases.
