Uber recently partnered with Big Basket to take up the responsibility of delivering essential goods to people during the COVID-19 lockdown. Now this cab service provider has joined hands with e-commerce website Flipkart. Now, in collaboration with Flipkart, Uber will work to deliver essential goods to the people of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore through its cabs and bikes. This partnership between Uber India and Flipkart has been announced in a blog post. This is Uber India’s third business-to-business partnership after Big Basket and Spencer Retail.

In this partnership of Uber and Flipkart, delivery of essential goods will be done in three cities only, but the number of cities can be increased in the coming days. However, Uber has not given any official statement in this regard.

Apart from this, Uber said that no commission is being charged for this facility and whatever money is earned through this delivery will be given to all the drivers.

Like Big Basket Delivery, this time too the guidelines of the Government of India will be completely followed. The highest level of safety and hygiene standards of drivers will be maintained during delivery.

So far, more than 4000 cases of corona virus have been registered across the country. Last month, the Government of India had declared a lockdown of 21 days to stop the spread of this deadly virus, in which no one is allowed to leave the house unless necessary. Currently, this lockdown is in force in India, which will last till April 14.
