Big feature coming for Instagram users, will be able to post 60 second video in stories

Instagram Instagram has started testing a major update for its Stories platform. This will allow users to post videos of up to 60 seconds in Stories. This feature was spotted by an Instagram user in Türkiye. Currently, if any video longer than 15 seconds is posted on Insta, it gets split into multiple stories. Instagram has also recently improved its ‘Link Sticker’ feature by adding custom text and color options. The Meta-owned platform also started rolling out ‘Instagram badges’ last month. With this, creators can earn money from their followers.

According to well-known social media consultant Matt Navara, Instagram has started informing some users about the new changes. It is worth noting that currently on Instagram, any video longer than 15 seconds is divided into different stories. This causes problems for users when they tag users in the story. This problem will end with the update. It is believed that the new update may be an attempt to beat competitors like Snapchat and TikTok.

Recently Instagram has also improved the ‘Link Sticker’ feature through custom text and color options. Users who want to share links on Stories can now write personalized text along with the link with the help of these stickers. Users can also highlight links by customizing the color when posting Stories.

Instagram started rolling out ‘Instagram Badges’ in November. By showing this, users can support the creators during live videos. Users 18 and older with more than 10,000 followers in select regions will be able to use the Instagram badge. Once purchased, badges will appear with comments during live casts.
