Battlegrounds Mobile India has crossed 50 lakh downloads in its Early Access phase, which is available to everyone in the country. South Korean developer Krafton has shared this achievement via in-game notification along with a reward to thank Indian players. The game was available to download in open beta for some testers on June 17 and opened to everyone on June 18. It has already crossed 50 lakh downloads. Battlegrounds Mobile India is the Indian version of PUBG Mobile which was banned in the country in September last year.

Krafton has given a Classic Crate Coupon to every Battlegrounds Mobile India player as a thank you for 50 lakh downloads. A ‘5M Download Gift’ notification appears on the in-game event screen saying, “Thank you India! (Thanks to India). Celebrating 5 million downloads, we send our thanks with this extra gift! Please enjoy!” This notification rewards players with a free coupon that they can use to open a Classic Crate and receive a random reward. The game has only been available for download for two days and the first Was only for beta testers.

Krafton opened beta testing to a limited number of users on June 17 and the slots filled up almost immediately. You can check out our first impressions of the game here. They later announced that the Early Access build is now available to everyone and more slots have been made available in the beta program. Players who join during the Early Access phase receive a Supply Crate Coupon, two EXP Cards, and a 2x BP Card.

It is not surprising that so many players immediately jumped into this game. Actually, after the ban of PUBG Mobile, its fans were quite disappointed and ever since Battlegrounds Mobile India was announced, gamers were eagerly waiting for it. It is quite natural to get this kind of response after waiting for 9 months. Earlier last month, Battlegrounds Mobile India began pre-registration on Google Play Store. By the first week of this month it crossed 2 crore pre-registrations. The figure of 50 lakh downloads is like proving to be the first milestone for this game. As of now this game is not available on iOS devices.
