Anushka Sharma’s film ‘Bulbbul’ will be released on Netflix on June 24.

Anushka Sharma may be away from the Bollywood screen for a long time, but she continues to maintain her presence on the digital screen. After the success of ‘Paatal Lok’ as a producer, Anushka Sharma has now announced her next web film with her brother Karnesh Sharma, which is named ‘Bulbul’. This film will be released on Netflix on June 24. Announcing the film, Anushka Sharma has shared a motion poster on Twitter, in which the release date along with the title of the film has been revealed. Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnesh Sharma is also producing Bulbul under his banner Clean Slate Filmz.

Bulbbul is a supernatural period horror film which revolves around a woman from Bengal who was subjected to child marriage. At the same time, another important character of the film is Satya. Satya goes to England for his studies and when he returns after many years, he finds that his brother has abandoned his child bride. Now she is living her life in solitude, dedicating her life to the welfare of the people. However, there is a twist in the story as their village is plagued by mysterious deaths and a woman who lives in a tree who scares people. Satya searches for the truth behind this story and tries to save his village from this evil spirit (witch).

It is noteworthy that Trupti Dimri, Avinash Tiwari and Rahul Bose are in important roles in this film produced by Anushka Sharma. Along with them, Parambrata Chatterjee and Pauly Dam will be seen playing supporting roles. Writer Anvita Dutt is entering direction with this film.

Bulbul will be released worldwide on June 24 via Netflix.
