Amazon Prime has secretly launched a new monthly Amazon Prime subscription plan in India. Under the new scheme, non-Prime subscribers can now avail the services of Amazon Prime for just Rs 129. Currently this subscription was limited to debit-credit cards, in which auto renew method remains applicable. However, Amazon notifies the user 3 days in advance so that the account can be auto-renewed.

Talking about annual subscription, to avail the benefits of Amazon Prime, you have to spend Rs 999. We have talked to Amazon India about cheaper subscription plans, which we will update soon. As we mentioned earlier, some users are seeing Amazon’s subscription offer and we were also able to spot it. Facebook user Ravi Mishra was the first to see it and then many others. However, this is visible only to non-Amazon Prime members. Amazon Prime currently offers users the benefits of one-day delivery, same-day delivery with discounts, Prime Video, Amazon Music.

Recently, e-commerce company Amazon started No Rush Delivery service, which gives cashback to users on delayed delivery. Users also have the option not to renew the monthly plan.

Let us tell you that Amazon Prime was started in India in July 2016. At that time its promotional price was Rs 499, in which the user got the benefit of the annual plan. However, after a year of launch, this price became Rs 999 and a large number of users joined it. Compared to the US, Amazon Prime costs $119 (Rs 8,100) annually. It is comparatively much cheaper in India. Last year, Amazon India started Prime Day in the country, which gives users the benefit of exclusive discounts and cashback. This benefit is available only to Amazon Prime subscribers.
