How to remove your number and name from Truecaller

Truecaller is used by millions of people around the world. And you too might have used it. If you have not done so then we will give you information about this. Whenever someone calls you from an unknown number, the Truecaller app tells you the identity of that user. TrueCaller generates contact details from the address book of all users’ smartphones. It is possible that you have never used this app but still your number and name is present in Truecaller’s database. Because it is possible that your number may have been used by someone else before and he may have stored his database on Truecaller.

Not everyone knows this, but the Truecaller app also reveals the addresses of some fixed line phones. If a telemarketer or spam call has come from an office address, then there is no problem. But you would never want someone to know your home address, that too just because you called. It is true that Truecaller obtains this information from public data stores only. This happens because someone knows your landline number. Apart from this, they should know the registered address of the phone book available in the public area. Or your address can be found by entering your landline number in Google.

In such a situation, you would like your number to be removed from Truecaller’s database. Keep in mind that if you use this app, you cannot remove your number from this service. Do this to close Truecaller account

Android
Open the app > tap the people icon in the top left corner > Settings > About > Deactivate account.

iPhone
Open the app > Tap on the gear icon on the top right > About Truecaller > Go down > Then deactivate Truecaller.

windows mobile
Open the app, then tap the three-dot icon in the bottom right corner > Settings > Help > Deactivate account.

How to remove number from truecaller

1. Truecaller unlist page Go to.

2. Enter your number along with country code. For example- +911140404040 or +919999999999

3. Select the option to unlist and specify the reason. If you want, you can also give any other reason in other forms.

4. Enter the verification captcha.

5. Click on Unlist.

Truecaller says that it removes these numbers within 24 hours of receiving the unlist request. This does not mean that your number will not be available in this service forever. We deleted our number a year ago. During this period we never used Truecaller, but our number started appearing on this service once again. In such a situation, the right solution would be to keep checking with someone you know who uses Truecaller whether your contact details are visible or not. If it doesn’t appear then you have successfully removed your number from Truecaller. If seen, you can always ask Truecaller to remove your number.
