SBI Clerk Syllabus 2023

Every year, State Bank of India conducts examination for the recruitment of Junior Associate i.e. Clerk in SBI branches spread across the country. SBI Clerk 2023 Prelims Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk process will be conducted in 2 stages – Prelims and Mains. After this, Language Proficiency Test (LPT) will also be conducted. SBI Clerk Prelims exam is of qualifying nature, qualifying it is necessary but the marks will not be considered in making the merit list, after which comes SBI Clerk Mains whose marks are added in the merit list. Candidates applying for vacancies of a particular state must be proficient (read, write, speak and understand) the specified local language of that state as mentioned in the notification.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2023: Prelims

SBI Clerk Multiple choice questions of 100 marks will be asked in the prelims exam. For which the candidate will be given a total time duration of 1 hour. The Prelims exam question paper is divided into 3 sections, out of which you will be given 20 minutes for each section.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2023: Mains

SBI Clerk Mains Exam consists of four sections i.e. Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Awareness, The sectional timings in SBI Clerk Mains exam are given below. SBI Clerk Mains exam consists of objective tests of 200 marks. The table given below shows the expected pattern for SBI Clerk Main Exam.

Note: There is negative marking for wrong answers in both SBI Clerk Prelims and Mains exams. For each question on which a wrong answer is given, one-fourth of the marks awarded for that question will be deducted from your marks. If any question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, then no negative marking will be done on that question.

Merit list will be prepared as per mains stage marks but it is important to go through the specified chosen language. Local language test will be the last stage of the selection process which must be passed and candidates who do not qualify the language test will be excluded from the selection process. They Candidates who produce 10th or 12th class marksheet/certificate as proof and have local language as one of their subjects will not be required to undergo the language proficiency test.
